Medical Admissions Unit

Our 32-bed Medical Admissions Unit (MAU) is focussed on treating and caring for acutely unwell patients over 16 years of age following stabilisation in the Emergency Department.

We provide care for patients with a range of medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, pneumonia and more.

Our unit is staffed 24-hours by a team of dedicated medical and nursing staff and is supported by a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals.

We are part of the hospital’s inpatient medical team and work closely with the medical wards and Intensive Care Unit to ensure that patients receive the best possible care in a timely manner.
