At Armadale Hospital, our Emergency Department (ED) provides a 24-hour emergency service for adults and children. We see about 70,000 patients a year.

We care for people whose health conditions are serious and require urgent attention including obstetric, paediatric and neonatal emergencies. 

Patients are seen in order of their illness severity, not in order of attendance. Seriously ill patients will be attended to first while those with minor illnesses may have to wait.
