Front of House Volunteers
Front of House volunteers will perform a variety of services designed to support patients during their time at our hospital. Front of House volunteer activities are required during the day and in the evening, seven days a week.
Volunteers can choose the frequency and timing of their volunteering commitment.
Examples of services our general volunteers will perform may include:
- providing an escort and direction service for patients and visitors
- providing companionship and support for patients and their visitors
- providing patients and staff with the opportunity to buy goods from the trolley
- supporting the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of patients identified as having special needs (e.g. patients with dementia, delirium, falls risk patients, visual and hearing-impaired patients etc.)
- supporting the coordination of hospital events (e.g. NAIDOC week, Mental Health Week, RUOK Day, etc.).
