Radiology

Medical imaging services are provided on site by Perth Radiological Clinic (external site).

A comprehensive range of imaging investigations are provided for both inpatients and outpatients, including privately referred patients. The department is easily accessible via the Galliers Specialist Centre entrance.

Referrals are accepted from podiatrists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and dentists as well as all medical practitioners, whether public or private.

All patients require a referral to be seen at the medical imaging service.

Appointments are encouraged but not mandatory. You will generally be examined more quickly if you have an appointment.

Procedures carried out onsite include:

• general x-rays
• dental x-rays (OPG’s and lateral cephalograms)
• low dose Computed Tomography (CT)
• ultrasounds – general, vascular, obstetric and musculoskeletal
• Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA)
• interventional radiology
• barium procedures (small bowel series, meals, enemas)
• sinograms
• Micturating Cystourethrograms (MCUs)
• arthrograms
• videofluoroscopy
