Social work
Our social workers provide a range of service to patients, families and any person who experiences social and emotional difficulties related to their acute admission or health condition/chronic illness.
All of our social workers are trained professionals who have completed a university degree and are guided by the Australian Association of Social Workers'Code of Ethics (external site). Social work practice is underpinned by the principles of social justice, compassion and self determination.

- short term counselling for patients and carers on grief and loss, relationships and other emotional factors
- assistance with financial and legal issues
- advocacy
- education and information
