Comprehensive Kidney Care for the Community
The Armadale Health Service offers a comprehensive Level 4 Renal Service, catering to a wide range of kidney health needs. We work collaboratively with Royal Perth Hospital (a tertiary institution) for highly specialized complex care.
Our Services
- Pre-dialysis Assessment & Education: We guide patients and caregivers through the process leading to dialysis.
- Dialysis Treatments: We provide both acute and chronic haemodialysis treatment options.
- Dialysis Access Management: We assist with establishing and maintaining vascular access for haemodialysis.
- Kidney Transplant Support: We offer pre-transplant evaluation and post-transplant follow-up care.
- Consultation Services: Our team provides expert consultations in various areas, including general medicine, surgery, psychiatry, and obstetrics/gynaecology.
- Education and Research: We are committed to educating both patients and healthcare professionals, and actively engage in research to improve patient outcomes.
- Palliative Care: We provide compassionate end-of-life care tailored to individual needs.
Patients We Serve:
- Adults (16+) with acute or chronic kidney conditions requiring specialist care.
- Patients with stable kidney function who are not anticipated to require intensive care.
- Individuals currently undergoing haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
- Patients on home dialysis therapies who require medical support.
- Those experiencing issues related to dialysis access.
- Patients referred from tertiary hospitals for ongoing care.
- General physicians within the Department of General Medicine also offer limited public outpatient services for specific kidney concerns.
