NAIDOC Week activities at AHS
NAIDOC Week (2 – 9 July 2017) is fast approaching and you are invited to help celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Each year, a theme is chosen to reflect the important issues and events for NAIDOC Week. The 2017 theme of Our Languages Matter emphasises the unique and essential role Aboriginal language plays in cultural identity. This includes linking people to their land and water and in the sharing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, spirituality and rites, through story and song.
A range of activities have been planned for staff, patients and visitors on Tuesday 11 July 2017 at Armadale Health Service (AHS).
