Marri Grove Primary School students have hand-sewn and donated two boxes of felt teddy-bears for children receiving treatment at Armadale Hospital.

Armadale Hospital Chaplain Reverend Alistair Bain was presented the gift at a school assembly, and said the children wished to give a meaningful gift to others.

“The idea was that they wanted to make a donation to a worthy cause, and they thought of the children at hospital,” Alistair said.

Acting Nurse Unit Manager for Paediatrics Kate O’Reilly-Bradley welcomed the gift and believed it would be appreciated by the children on the ward.

“It is a really nice initiative, and I know that the children, the toddlers in particular, will like them,” Kate said.
