Within WACHS Wheatbelt, midwives and GP Obstetricians work hand-in-hand to provide evidence based clinical care to women of the region.
Aboriginal Liaison Officers and Midwives work in partnership to provide care to women and families during the antenatal and postnatal period (servicing Moora, Merredin, Northam and Narrogin and surrounding areas).

Narrogin Health Service offers the Narrogin Midwifery Group Practice. This provides midwifery continuity of care and GP (General Practitioner) Obstetricians for:
- low risk pregnancies and births
- women in the Southern Wheatbelt district
- shared antenatal and postnatal care for women with complicated pregnancies.

Northam Health Service offers the Avon Valley (Northam) Midwifery Group Practice. This provides midwifery continuity of care for:
- low risk pregnancies and births
- women in the Avon and Central Wheatbelt district
- shared antenatal and postnatal care for women with complicated pregnancies.

- 2 birth suites
- 1 family sitting room

- Each woman is allocated a midwife to follow them through their pregnancy journey
- Water births
- Sterile water injections for back pain in labour
- Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)
- Early postnatal discharge – four to six hours after birth
- Postnatal care in your own home by your midwife
- Antenatal and parenting classes (speak with your midwife or use the contact details below)
