Consumer Advisory Committee

Armadale Kalamunda Group (AKG) is committed to working with consumers and carers to ensure the hospital and health services we provide are responsive to the needs of our community.

Your chance to be involved

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic consumers and/or carers who have an interest in how our hospitals deliver health care.

If you are currently accessing our services or have had a recent experience (within the last 5 years) with either Armadale or Kalamunda hospitals, we want to hear from you.

Expressions of interest are now open to be part of our Consumer Advisory Committee or to join our Consumer Engagement Register.

Role of Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC)

The CAC provides consumer advice, direction and advocacy for the planning and delivery of health care provided by AKG. As a CAC member, you will be required to attend monthly meetings and take part in other hospital activities and initiatives.

Consumer Engagement Register

The Consumer Engagement Register is a register of consumers who wish to be involved in consumer discussions, hospital committees and working groups and other activities. Consumers will have the opportunity to provide input to the CAC on specific activities. We will try to match your availability and interests with the hospital’s activities and your commitment would be dependent on the activity you choose.

Applications to join the AKG CAC and Consumer Engagement Register are now open and will close on: 30 May 2018.

To register your interest, complete the Consumer Engagement Registration Form (Word 90KB) and return to the address included on the last page.

AKG strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disabilities.

Appointments to the CAC will be for a two-year term and members may elect to re-apply for membership at the end of the term.
