Pre-admission clinic

If you have been booked in for an elective surgical procedure, you will require and assessment prior to admission. This may happen by telephone or an in-person interview prior to your admission.

This pre-admission appointment will allow us to identify any risk factors before your surgery and ensure that we can minimise the risk of any complications during or following your procedure. We may also arrange for you to see an anaesthetist before your operation if necessary.

These pre-admission requirements reduce the possibility of your procedure being cancelled on the day of surgery.

The Pre-admission clinic is located on the first floor (enter through the main reception).

Pre-admission appointments

When we have received confirmation of your procedure from your surgeon, a Pre-admission Clinic Clerk will contact you to make an appointment.

If you cannot keep your appointment for any reason, please call the Pre-admission Clinic on 9391 2187 to reschedule.
