Kalamunda Hospital’s long-serving staff members were acknowledged for their dedication and commitment at a special ceremony held on 21 February.

AKG Mental Health Service Director Monica Taylor presented 13 Kalamunda Hospital staff members with commemorative certificates and pins marking various length of service.

Clinical Nurse Elaine Earthrowl, who has worked at Kalamunda Hospital for 30 years, said the hospital’s staff culture was what she had most enjoyed in the past three decades.

“The hospital has always had a really strong and stable staff – a great community,” Elaine said.

Back in 1990, Elaine was photographed by the Kalamunda Reporter newspaper, working at the hospital. Some 28 years on, Elaine said that she is just as enthusiastic about coming to work each day.
